Peter's 1st Birthday

It's hard to believe, but the baby of the family is one! Peter is such a sweet baby; he is always happy and flashes his big toothy grin at everyone he sees! Two of my friends told me they were discussing how you feel like such an idiot when you're talking to a baby and they won't smile at you, but they said "You know who never makes you feel like an idiot? Peter Horton!" ๐Ÿ˜‚ Peter will smile for anyone, anytime! Baby talk is not even required. ๐Ÿ˜œ

Peter's birthday was on a Friday. We spent the morning at the swim team practice, and then stayed to swim and eat lunch. This is the only picture I took, which means it's the best picture I have, even though it was too bright for Peter to open his eyes. ๐Ÿ˜‚ He enjoyed the water a little bit, but mostly liked snacking and playing with diving sticks!
We ordered pizza for dinner and then went out for Yogurt Mountain for dessert. Peter got his first cup of yogurt and loved it!

The next day we had a Winnie the Pooh family birthday party. It was in the afternoon after naps, so I kept it simple with some snacks and cupcakes. All the people who love Peter most came to celebrate him!

We had a bumble bee piรฑata for Peter's siblings and cousins...
...followed by presents! Peter got lots of fun toys, and of course the older kids enjoyed opening them and playing as well. ;)

I love this picture of Peter with his Mamaw! We are so blessed that Mamaw and Daddy Wayne are able to come visit us every month and be such a part of our kid's lives.
Peter of course loved his cake! He has had cake, ice cream, cookies, sugar in general more than any of the other kids had at his age, so it really wasn't a novelty for him. ๐Ÿ˜†

We LOVE Peter and can not imagine what our family would be like without him in it. It's so hard to believe he's already a year old. Happy birthday, sweet baby boy!
