Solar Eclipse 2017

Today is the day! This afternoon in Huntsville, we will get to experience a 97% solar eclipse, which is close enough to 100% for me. Nashville, TN is the closest city to us that will experience it at 100% and we know a lot of people who are going to Nashville for the day to see it. Caleb and I will both be at work, but we are going to sneak outside for a few minutes for a look.

Things have been crazy around here with people trying to get these eclipse glasses. The mall got 5,000 pairs last week and ran out in 2 hours, and Star Market sold 7,000 pairs on Thursday, and 10,000 on Friday. My mom waited in line at Star Market for 2.5 hours on Friday morning to get some. 😂 All I wanted this morning was a picture of Henry with the glasses on his face, but the little stinker would not cooperate, and this is the best I could do. LOL.

Henry will be in preschool today, but they are closing early at 12:30 so that teacher, parents, and students will be off the road when the eclipse starts. Everyone around here sure is excited! 😊
