Beach 2018--Days 1 & 2

We just spent the best week at the beach, and I have lots of pictures to prove it! :) We have been anticipating this trip for almost a year, and were so excited when it was finally time to go. My Aunt Kyle has 2 condos in Panama City Beach, so we booked them with Caleb's grandparents and dad. My mom, Nathan, Henry, Caleb, and I stayed in one condo, and his dad, Mamaw, Daddy Wane, and Kendra stayed in the other. It was a week full of fun, food, and family!

  
 

 Henry did a lot of both of these things in the car. :) He was SO good on the drive! There were a few times that he would start fussing and wanting out, but we would just distract him with another toy or book and he would quiet down. 

This picture really does not capture how stuffed the van was. We wanted to ride with my mom and Nathan, but I almost called in quits while loading the van. We did it, but I don't know how! Poor Nathan was wedged in a dark hole among all our stuff. 😂

Henry had to have a snack when we got there! My mom brought a bunch of applesauce muffins she had baked and he ate every.single.one throughout the course of the week! He ate all of his meals at the counter while sitting on a bar stool, and he thought he was hot stuff. 😊 Caleb tried to put him in his booster seat at the table once and he started crying. 😂

We unloaded the van and then went to the grocery store to get food for the week. That is my most dreaded part of going to the beach. I HATE fighting those crowds at the store and then lugging grocery bags up 12 floors. We ate dinner at Ocean's, the resort restaurant, and then took a walk on the beach. Henry was scared of the ocean and started making a really fake whine/cry noise when the waves would hit him. 😂

A nice lady stopped us on the beach and asked if she could take our picture because it was just too beautiful with the sunset in the background. She very kindly sent me these pictures!

Henry started his first full day at the beach with another applesauce muffin...

...and then we went down to the beach!

Henry was still really nervous about the waves, but loved digging in the sand!

Sweet Daddy Wayne brought Henry a TON of sand toys! He loved filling the buckets.

The ladies! 

We went inside for lunch and my mom kindly offered to stay in the condo while Henry napped so that Caleb and I could go back down to the beach. We stayed for a couple more hours before heading back in. Caleb's dad flew into PCB this night and Mamaw and Daddy Wayne went to pick him up. The rest of us went to Whataburger for dinner (mine and Nathan's pick!). We put Henry to bed and then went to visit Dion for a little while before going to bed ourselves. Day 2 was a success!
