Claire's 4th Birthday

Claire turned 4 back in April, and we celebrated her with a panda party. When she first said she wanted a panda themed party, I tried to steer her in other directions. What about a ballerina party? A princess party? An ice cream party?? But she was insistent on pandas, which is perfectly in line with Claire and her interests. :) Surprisingly, there were a lot of cute ideas online, so I guess a panda party is a real thing.

I opted to have the party at the Whitesburg Baptist ROC because they have an awesome indoor playground and space for lots of friends. I was very pregnant and not up for hosting, and this turned out to be way more fun than if we'd had it at our house. We had the party in the morning before lunch, so we served snacks and cupcakes. We had it the day after her birthday, which was a Saturday.

"PANDAmonium" for sure 😆
I found these treats called Hello Panda cookies, and they made the perfect party favor, along with a panda pencil, eraser, and bracelet.

I made the banner with my Cricut and was really proud of how cute it turned out!
See? Very pregnant. Haha!

We had so many sweet friends from school and church come to celebrate our girl!

Claire got so many sweet gifts from her friends!

Claire's actual birthday was on the Friday before her party. She woke up in panda bear pajamas, ate a sprinkle donut, and opened some presents. Not a bad way to start a 4th birthday. 😉

We gave Claire some books, a new dress, a puppet stage with puppets, and a piggy bank. Henry had a baseball game that night, so we went to Little Rosie's for dinner with family and then watched the game. We had family in town from Canada and Centreville, so it was a fun and special night, despite not being all about the birthday girl. :)

Since we didn't get to have a big birthday dinner on her birthday, Caleb and I took Claire and the kids to P.F. Chang's for dinner on Saturday night because Claire loves orange chicken. It was a little chaotic, but delicious! We love Claire so much and can't wait to see what year 4 has in store for her!
