Claire's 3rd Birthday
We had so much fun celebrating Claire's birthday back in April! Gifts, cake, dinner at Rosie's, princess party...we managed to squeeze in all of her favorite things!
We kicked off her birthday morning with a special breakfast; blueberry muffins, powdered donuts, eggs, and OJ. Henry and Claire both had an Easter program and Easter party at school that morning, so we all got to go for those. After the class egg hunts and parties, I took Henry and Claire to get McDonald's for lunch.
Caleb worked from home on this day, so we let Claire open her presents after lunch. She got a charm bracelet, a pink princess dress-up dress (as you'll see pictured in a moment :)), a game, a book, a new panda stuffed animal (from her brothers), and a pretend nail salon set. Also note the crown, socks, and hair clips on the bottom of her dress. Claire is very much her own person. Haha!
SOOO excited to get her own copy of 'Toto's Apple' 😂 We have only ever checked in out from the library.
I made Claire's cake based off of some ideas I got from Pinterest. It was very easy and simple compared to some of the castle cakes out there, but it suited Claire just fine. :)
Beautiful girl in a new dress, ready for her birthday dinner!
Claire of course wanted Rosie's for dinner. Beans & rices and chips & queso are probably her favorite foods.
After dinner it was time for cake! It was such a fun day all about our sweet girl!
Claire's birthday was on a Thursday this year, so we did her party the following Saturday. We had the sweetest princess party with a few friends and family members. The girls had tiaras and wands to decorate...
...and the boys had shields and swords. I learned some new things to do on my Cricut shortly before the party, and tried all my new skills on the party decor. 😂 I had way too much fun.
We did an afternoon party, so we just had snacks and cupcakes.
The kids did their crafts and then played before present time.
Claire got so many sweet gifts! Duplos, books, more dress-up clothes and regular clothes, a tea set, and a playhouse.
We sang Happy Birthday and ate cupcakes, and then a costume change for Claire. 😂
And here's the cousin crew at the end of the party. George and Shepherd are the highlight of this picture. HAHA!
Claire had such a wonderful birthday and party and we had so much fun making a couple days all about our favorite girl! She is such a joy to our family!
