Weekend Recap
I am not quite ready for the weekend to be over! It was the perfect combination of spending time hanging out with friends and being productive around the house. Friday night we dropped Henry off with his Nana while Caleb and I went to dinner. It was maybe only the 3rd or 4th time we've been out to dinner alone since Henry was born, so it was very enjoyable. He's actually pretty easy at restaurants now that he sits in a high chair and eats table food, but it was still nice not to have to put food in anyone else's mouth :)
Saturday I had to work and Caleb kept Henry at home all day by himself. Then our BFF's Aaron and Jessica came over with their two kiddos and I cooked dinner for us. After a long day at work, all I felt like making were hot dogs and boxed mac n' cheese. You know they're true friends when they come over to eat your kid's menu food. hahaha. We had a great night spending time together and catching up. We hadn't seen each other since our trip to D.C. back in April, so we definitely had a lot to talk about.
We went to church on Sunday and Aaron and Jessica came with us. We've been wanting them to try our church for a while now, so we were so excited to have them! Afterwards we went and ate Mexican food and enjoyed more time together. We got home from lunch, put Henry down for a nap, and got to work. Caleb worked in the yard for several hours and I cleaned up the house, did laundry, etc. All of those chores that feel like they never end. :) Then we got a pizza and relaxed at home for the rest of the evening. It was the perfect ending to a great weekend, and we are refreshed and ready for another week!
P.S.--sorry for the lack of pictures! I have GOT to get better at remembering to take some! Next time, I promise!
