Easter--Part I
We had a busy, but wonderful Easter! We dyed and hunted eggs, ate lots of good food, spent time with family, and worshipped Jesus for being our victory over sin and death! It was a great few days and the perfect way to usher in SPRING!
On the Tuesday before Easter, Amanda and I took the kiddos to my parent's house to dye Easter eggs. This was one of our favorite Easter traditions as kids, and it's so fun that our kids can grow up dyeing eggs together!
Such a pretty smile that rarely comes out for the camera!
This is the weirdest kid ever. She would accidentally drop an egg and crack it, so she'd just eat it, shell and all. What 3 year old eats hard boiled eggs?! Hahaha!
Evelyn wouldn't wait for everyone else to dye eggs, so she did all 12 of hers before Henry and I got there. She re-dyed them with us to try and get different colors. Such a silly girl!
Henry didn't want to put his eggs down!
Sweet babies with their eggs! Henry's were mostly done by mommy. :)
Holding up their favorite eggs!
And just for fun, here's a few throwback pictures from mine and Amanda's egg decorating days, done at the same table in my parent's kitchen!
How weird is it that I had on the same outfit in '94 and '95 when we dyed eggs?? Also, I am dying over the fact that in every picture Amanda is just sitting there watching/waiting on me. I was a pretty bossy big sister! 😂
I was scheduled to serve in the church nursery on Good Friday, so Caleb got to have some alone time with Henry that night. I was in the "Bees" room, which are the 1 year olds, and I loved being in there! They were seriously so cute and all reminded me of my sweet baby at home. :)
Saturday night we attended the Easter service at our church, and my in-laws joined us. It was so fun having everyone together to worship and celebrate Jesus! After church we went to Shaggy's for dinner, and then headed home and called it a night.
Henry was looking SO CUTE that I could hardly stand it!
That's it for part 1! I'll be back later this week with the pictures we took on Sunday. And get ready, there are A LOT! :):)
