Beach 2018--Day 4

Wednesday was day 4 of our trip, and we decided to spend the morning at the pool. The resort has one big pool for all 3 of the condo towers, but then each tower has it's own smaller pool. We went to the little pool and were pleasantly surprised to find that it was empty! The building also cast a shadow over the majority of it, so we didn't have to be in the direct sun. Henry was really scared at first, but he did get more comfortable throughout the morning.

Henry could walk down 3 steps before going under, so that's what he did over and over again. :)

 There's a splash pad by the big pool, and we tried to go to it last year and found out that you had to pay to use it. We decided that we would pay for Henry to do it once, and when we went to inquire about the price, we were told that it was FREE this year! 

We stayed at the splash pad for about half an hour before going in for lunch. I stayed in during Henry's nap and ended up falling asleep myself. When he woke up he was SUPER cranky, and I had just the solution; a sweet treat! :)

There's a little convenience store near the pool that sells ice cream, popsicles, Icees, Starbucks, and lots of other fun things, so Henry and I went and got a double scoop of chocolate and strawberry ice cream! He ate most of the strawberry and I ate most of the chocolate, and it was SO good! 

Daddy Wayne had smoked a Boston butt and brought it with him, so we ate BBQ for dinner. My mom and I went and picked up some sides from Shane's and it was a good meal at the condo! We also made brownies and had ice cream sundaes for dessert. :) After Henry went to bed, Nathan, Caleb, and I made all my mom's dreams come true and started the movie About Time with her. She's been asking us to do this for-EVER and we finally obliged. 😂 Another great day down, 3 more to go!
