Beach 2018--Day 5

We had so much fun at the pool on Wednesday that we decided to go back on Thursday!

We found this giraffe float in the condo and Henry was obsessed. He looked SO cute walking to the elevator!

Henry LOVED the pool this time! He splashed and laughed and laid on his tummy on the steps and blew bubbles. It was so fun!

We all went in for lunch, and then during Henry's nap we finished watching About Time. Earlier in the week I bought tickets to the Discovery and Science Museum of Northwest Florida. It was $12 for 4 tickets, and we thought it would be something fun to do with Henry. He was a little young for some of the stuff they offered, but we had a really good time and it was definitely worth the price!

There was a playground that was built to look like a big wooden ship, and Henry had fun climbing on it.

Nathan was excited to walk on the nature trail! 😂

 

There was a display of reptiles and other somewhat *creepy* creatures, and we planned to go on the day that they do an "Animal Encounter" talk. This sweet lady, Kyra, had a bullfrog (whose name was Henry!), a blue-tongued skink, a bearded dragon, a grey snake, and a tarantula. She brought each animal by for us to touch, and I made myself proud of touching every one! Kyra actually made me feel comfortable around reptiles and now I'm not so scared!

Henry the bullfrog was HUGE; he weighs almost 3lbs, but apparently the females can get up to 8lbs. Kyra had these big worms that she threw down on the table and the frog would grab it with his tongue and eat it. 

The tarantula was actually really cool! We didn't hold it, but Kyra would hold our fingers up to the spider's spinnerets and we would pull a piece of line out on our fingers. It was pretty amazing! Caleb passed on this one. 😂

Nathan held the snake! It was enough for me to touch it; I did not want to have that thing around my neck! He said it felt really good though. 😂

Mamaw, Daddy Wayne, and Kendra went to Angelo's for dinner, and Caleb, Nathan, and Dion went to Firefly. My mom, Henry and I didn't want an expensive, fancy dinner so we ordered Papa John's and ate at the condo. It was sooo good!

Henry finished dinner with strawberries and a little bit of ice cream. Caleb got home in time to help me get him in bed, and then we all crashed!
