Beach Trip 2019

We took our first beach trip as a family of 4 a few weeks ago! We had not originally planned a trip to the beach this year since we're going to Disney World, but then my Aunt Kyle had a few nights available at the end of August and gave us a really good rate, so we figured why not? Amanda, Stephen, and the kids were supposed to go too, but ended up having to back out at the last minute. So it was just us and my parents, but we had a really good time!

Honestly these pictures are in no particular order, because all 3 days blurred together into a whole lot of sunscreen, swimsuits, and swimming, but that's okay because it's exactly how time at the beach should be! 😜 Two things about this trip: 1) This was our first time going to the beach in late August and we LOVED IT! We seriously only want to go at this time from now on. School had started in most places, so there were no church groups, cheer groups, etc, we had no waits at restaurants, and we had our pick of pool chairs and beach spots every day. 2) While we loved the time of year we went, this was definitely the least relaxing beach trip of our lives. It was like we did all the work of going down (plus more, because...2 kids!) and then would stay for an hour before time to go in and get someone down for a nap. It was exhausting! I read 3 pages of my book the whole time which is a pretty depressing fact until I remember that a day will come when going to the beach isn't such a hassle! But despite all that, we had a great time together and we will always cherish these times spent making memories as a family.

...as well as digging in this huge hole that someone else had started earlier in the day. Haha!

My favorite part? Eating dinner 2 out of 3 nights in our bathing suits with views of the ocean. Seriously. I put real clothes on one time the whole trip and it was glorious! 

These two ran us ragged, but we wouldn't have it any other way. See you next year, beach!
