Claire's 2nd Birthday

Better late than never! Here are some pictures from Claire's 2nd birthday and party. :)

Our sweet birthday girl woke up ready to celebrate! We gave her gifts before Caleb left for work (she got a wooden doll cradle and high chair that Amanda and I had as children, a book, and a dress), and I made muffins for breakfast.

Henry had school and George was napping, so Claire took a pink bath all by herself.

There was a fair in town, and we knew Claire would have the best time. Unfortunately, it started raining while we were there and it got really cold. The kids enjoyed the rides they got to do, but we didn't stay as long as we'd planned.

We had dinner at the fair (giant corndogs and cotton candy!), and then called it a night. It was too late to go home and eat birthday cake...

...so we did it the next night! I made a strawberry cake because pink is Claire's favorite color, and it was so yummy!

Claire's birthday was on a Wednesday and we had her party on the following Saturday. We kept it small and just invited grandparents, aunts & uncles, and cousins and went to Let's Play followed by lunch at Shaggy's. It was the perfect morning for our energetic girl! The kids had so much fun running, climbing, sliding, and swinging!

...and George mostly hung out with Nana. :)

A very happy birthday girl!

We had a delicious lunch at Shaggy's...

...and then Claire opened her presents outside. She got books, dolls, plastic animals, a sit-and-spin, and a purse, just to name a few!

She also got her very own pink bike!

Ready to head home to play with all of her new gifts. :)

It was a wonderful few days celebrating our precious girl! She turned one right at the beginning of COVID, so we loved getting to properly celebrate her with family. Claire is such a source of joy in our home; always helping, talking, laughing, playing. She's a great sister, both big and little, and an amazing daughter. She is empathetic and sensitive, sweet and sour, cuddly and independent. I think she's the best little girl in the whole world and I am infinitely happy that she's ours!
