Henry's 6th Birthday

Henry turned 6 back in October, and we had so much fun celebrating him! He wanted a shark themed birthday party, so that's what he got. :)  We had the party the Saturday before his birthday.

I joked that drawing this shark was the greatest accomplishment of my life....and I was only halfway joking. Haha!

We had a shark piñata...

...and borrowed a bouncy house again from friends.

Happy boy full of candy! :)

Henry got so many nice gifts from all his sweet friends!

Henry's actual birthday was on the following Monday, and I got up early to make his favorite breakfast...pancakes!

Breakfast followed by presents. We had asked Henry if he'd rather have more things to open and play with, or if he wanted just a few gifts and then to go do something as a family. He picked doing something as a family, and he kept guessing things like going to Yogurt Mountain, Build-a-Bear, or Chuck E. Cheese. Sweet boy! It was a big surprise when we gave him tickets to the Tennessee Aquarium, and told him we would be going that Saturday!
He also got an Auburn shirt...
...the game Guess Who?...
...and a big set of magnet tiles!
Henry wanted to go to Baumhower's for his birthday to get a corndog, but when we ordered our food, they told us they were out of corndogs! It was such a disappointment to him (and us too, because Caleb and I were looking forward to our meals 😂), but we ended up at Shaggy's so he could get a hotdog. Then back to our house for cheesecake! This was the 3rd year in a row that Henry has requested cheesecakes for his birthday, and he says he will ask for it every year for the rest of his life. Ha!

Saturday morning we left early to drive to Chattanooga! We had so much fun at the aquarium. The kids loved all of the fish and animals and we made such sweet memories! 😭

The kids fell asleep in the car on the drive home, and we surprised them with a stop at Handel's for a treat when we got back to Huntsville. They were excited and it was a fun way to end our adventure!

Henry is growing to be the sweetest, most creative, thoughtful, and smart little boy I know, and celebrating him is SO easy and fun!
