Henry's 7th Birthday

Henry turned 7 in October, and it was a little hard to swallow! He is no longer a toddler by a long shot, not even a preschooler or a kindergartener. He's a real kid now, growing into a young man. We are so proud of who he is becoming!

Henry wanted a Lego party this year because he pretty much eat, sleeps, and breathes Lego. We have a Lego store called Bricks and Minifigs, and they have a party room, so we booked it and invited some friends and that was about all we had to do! We opted to have it on Henry's actual birthday, which was on a Tuesday.

Because it was at 3:00 and a lot of kids were coming straight from school, we had some different snacks, juice boxes, and then of course, cupcakes! The store provided the plates, napkins, etc.

They put bins of Lego bricks out and the kids spent about an hour building whatever they wanted. It was so simple, but they had so much fun!

They got to use the car track to race their cars, which they also loved.
At the end of the party, each kid got to build their own Minifigure to take home as a party favor. This was also great fun!

We love our sweet Henry!

The weekend before his birthday, we had a family party planned at our house. Henry said he wanted pancakes, so I was planning to host a brunch with pancakes, sausage and egg casserole, yogurt parfaits, etc. Unfortunately Caleb woke up with a fever that Saturday and tested positive for Covid. We had to rearrange our plans; most of our family felt comfortable meeting outside on the deck, so we did that instead. We ordered pizza, my mom grabbed a cake from Publix, and the show went on!

It wasn't what we had expected, but it was still a sweet morning with family, celebrating Henry!

This boy made us parents 7 years ago, and we couldn't love him more! Happy birthday, Henry!
